This started out as an experiment in developing large scale constraints for that apparently hopelessly local problem, Norinori (rules). I'm not quite there yet, but I'm working on it. I'd like to hear how much exploration each solver found necessary.

I couldn't get very far at first, but the middle of the puzzle looked like an interesting spot to explore, and I happened to hit on the right pattern on my second guess. From there, everything else fell into place.
Thanks. The middle of the puzzle can indeed push a lot of the grid around. 4 is something of a magic size for Norinori regions, and interesting things happen around such regions.
Trial-and-error around your chosen location isn't a bad way to start, as a lot of wrong branches die quickly, with one rather annoying exception.
If you don't mind uniqueness arguments, there are a few to be found here as well.
